May 28/Sun. – Depart USA. Today board LOT’s non-stop Boeing 767 jet for a swift overnight flight across the Atlantic to Warsaw.
May 29/Mon. – WARSAW. On arrival in Warsaw, meet your guides and settle in at the heart of the city. Balance of day free to unpack, relax and catch a first glimpse of the Polish capital. Welcome dinner in a fine restaurant of Warsaw.
May 30/ Tues. – WARSAW. Start the day with a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Warsaw raised from ruins of WWII when 85% of the city was destroyed. From the reconstructed Old Town Square surrounded by colorful houses, continue to St. John’s Cathedral, Warsaw’s oldest Church and picturesque Castle Square. Then, drive via Royal Route to the Lazienki Park and Palace and admire the famous monument of Polish composer F. Chopin. Balance of day at leisure. In the evening, welcome Polka Party with “Eddie Blazonczyk’s Versatones”.
May 31/Wed. – WARSAW/CZESTOCHOWA/ZAKOPANE. After breakfast, your motorcoaches depart for Czestochowa, the pilgrimage center of Poland. Tour the Jasna Gora Monastery with miraculous Icon of the Black Madonna. The Pauline Fathers will introduce you to the turbulent history of the monastery and its treasures. Overnight in Zakopane at the Hotel Kasprowy.
June 1/Thur. – ZAKOPANE. After breakfast, a short tour will acquaint you with this popular vacation resort. Take a mountain rail to the Gubalowka mountain peak for a breathtaking view of the Tatras. Balance of day at leisure to spend at a local bazaar and famous “Krupowki” promenade. Shop here for intricate woodcarvings, embroidery, and other arts and crafts of the local mountaineers. June 2/Fri. – ZAKOPANE. Spend another relaxing day in this unique village. A short ride will take you to the Pieniny National Park for a fun ride on rafts down the Dunajec River Gorge where on a nine-mile journey you'll pass through the most spectacular scenery while listening to the tales of the raftsman. In the evening, local Highlander’s Ensemble “Gorale” will entertain you at the campfire picnic and the kielbasa roast.
June 3/Sat. – ZAKOPANE/WADOWICE/KRAKOW. Leaving the natural grandeur of the mountains behind, your coaches depart for the medieval city of Krakow. En route pass through the village of Chocholow with typical mountain architecture and home of Eddie B’s family. Next stop is Wadowice, birthplace of Pope John Paul II. Check in at the Hotel SAS Radisson conveniently located close to the Old Market Square.
June 4/Sun. – KRAKOW. Start the day with a Sunday Mass at the Basilica of the Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki. Then you will explore the treasures of Krakow on a walking city tour which includes the most important historical sites of the city of legends and traditions. It was Poland’s capital for four centuries, now is a treasure house of medieval art and architecture. You will also tour the imposing Wawel Castle, seat of Polish kings and famous Poles. Enjoy afternoon at leisure to discover Krakow on your own or shop for souvenirs. In the evening, Polka Party in your hotel with “Eddie Blazonczyk’s Versatones”.
June 5/Mon. – KRAKOW/MUNICH. This morning enjoy time free to discover Krakow on your own. Optional excursion will be offered to the fascinating Wieliczka salt mines where on a 2.5 mile tourist route you'll discover underground wonders carved from rock salt. In the afternoon, depart for the airport and board a short flight (1.5 hour) to Munich, Germany. On arrival you will meet your German guide and settle in at the hotel in this Bavarian Capital. If you choose POLAND TOUR only, you will have dinner and overnight in Krakow and depart for home on Tuesday, June 6.
June 6/Tues. – MUNICH. This morning get acquainted with the beautiful city of Munich on a sightseeing tour. See the Olympic Village, the Oktoberfest grounds, the charming Old Town with the Marienplatz, Gothic Cathedral of Our Lady and the famous “Glockenspiel”. Included is a visit to Nymphenburg Palace, splendid residence of Bavarian kings. Balance of the day free. Tonight have fun at the “Bavarian Evening” in the Hofbrauhouse, biggest in Germany.
June 7/Wed. – MUNICH/LINDAU. Today journey into the soaring Bavarian Alps with magnificent vistas. Stop at the Baroque Abbey of Ettal and the fairy tale castle of the “Mad” King Ludwig II in Neuschwanstein built between 1869-86. Arrive Lake Constance area for overnight.
June 8/Thurs. – LINDAU/BADDEN-BADDEN/HEIDELBERG. After breakfast travel deep into the Black Forest passing through the “cuckoo clock” country and the famous Badden-Badden. Enjoy sightseeing of one of the most beautiful spa resorts of Europe, the casino, ruins of the Roman Empire, the natural thermal hot springs. Overnight in Heidelberg.
June 9/Fri. – HEIDELBERG/MAINZ. After breakfast a walking tour of this old 14th century university town of Heidelberg includes the impressive castle and its wine cellar with world’s largest wooden wine barrel. Continue to the historic city of Mainz for overnight. Special farewell dinner party in local restaurant.
June 10/Sat. – MAINZ/RHINE CRUISE/FRANKFURT/KRAKOW. This morning drive to Rudesheim and take the steamer through the most picturesque region of the Rhine Valley. In St. Goarshausen board your motorcoach and drive along the Rhine to Frankfurt Airport where a short flight will take you back to Krakow for overnight.
June 11/Sun. – KRAKOW/USA. After a leisurely breakfast, depart for the airport and board your flight bound for home. Arrive Chicago or New York same afternoon.

Bei den Newsletters der Versatones habe ich immer den Eindruck, daß der Herr Blazonczyk bißchen die Bodenhaftung verloren hat. Warum muß ich eine Karibik-Kreuzfahrt machen, um Polka zu hören? Es gibt Blues-Bands, die lassen illegal Plakate kleben und spielen für 3,00 € Eintritt.
Aber seine Musik, die macht fröhlich.
Dann lade ich mir eben „I'm Gonna See My Baby” runter.
